If you’re thinking about updating your en suite or creating a new luxurious spa retreat in your own home, this article is for you. At Willow Brook Builders, we specialize in bringing refined, high-end home remodeling to Norwich homes and today we are diving into the popular design must haves for your Norwich master bathroom remodel. These design ideas bring comfort, convenience, and the wow-factor into everyday living. From colorful tile trends to tech-savvy upgrades, these features are what high-end clients are loving right now.
Not Your Usual Shower Tiles for Your Norwich Master Bathroom Remodel
Bold Tile Colors Bring Life to Showers and Floors
Gone are the days of bland beige and standard white. Today’s master bathrooms are getting a serious splash of color. Homeowners are embracing tiles in rich blues, emerald greens, and even matte blacks to give their showers and floors a bold, modern edge. These updated color palettes don’t just add personality, they create mood and dimension.
Shower walls become works of art with geometric patterns or hand-glazed tiles that shimmer in natural light. We’re also seeing clients mix tile finishes, combining high-gloss subway tiles with matte encaustic flooring for a striking contrast. It’s no longer about blending in; it’s about standing out, with confidence.
Even tub surrounds are joining the movement. Large-format tiles in jewel tones or textured stone-look finishes wrap around freestanding tubs, offering both beauty and practicality. With tile companies pushing creative boundaries, your Norwich master bathroom remodel has never had more options to express style.
His and Her Vanity Perfection
For couples, separate vanity areas are a must-have in any high-end bathroom design. But we take it a step further at Willow Brook Builders, our clients aren’t just looking for two sinks. They want fully customized cabinetry that fits their individual lifestyles.
Take the gentleman’s vanity, for instance. We can build in a sleek countertop cabinet that opens to reveal his electric razor and grooming essentials, all tucked neatly away. Inside, an integrated outlet means cords stay hidden and surfaces stay clear. It’s polished. It’s practical. And he’ll appreciate the ease.
Meanwhile, her vanity can include shallow drawers perfectly sized for makeup, hair accessories, and skincare items. And yes—there’s an outlet inside the drawer too. No more wrestling with cords or cluttered countertops. With intentional storage like linen towers or full-height cabinets, there’s also a place for everything, extra towels, baskets of toiletries, even hidden hampers. From brushed oak finishes to painted options in calming grays or bold navies, cabinet colors and stains can truly set the tone.
Perfect Way to Keep Your Norwich Master Bathroom Remodel Cozy
Heated Flooring Makes Mornings Better
Stepping out of bed in the middle of a cold New Hampshire winter morning isn’t exactly pleasant, unless your bathroom floor is heated. Heated flooring is quickly becoming a favorite feature among our Norwich clients, and we understand why.
This upgrade adds luxury and warmth with just the touch of a wall switch, or a smart control panel if you’re feeling fancy. It’s installed beneath the tile, so it doesn’t alter your design but absolutely transforms how your bathroom feels. Whether you’re getting ready for the day or stepping out of a bath, your feet will thank you.
Soak in Style with Stunning Tub Alcoves
Freestanding tubs have earned their place as a centerpiece in master bath design. And when nestled into a tile-clad alcove? Pure perfection. These beautiful nooks not only elevate the design but create a private oasis for soaking away the day.
Some homeowners lean into modern elegance with sleek oval tubs in glossy white or matte black finishes. Others choose slipper or clawfoot styles for a more traditional look. Surround them with textured tile, add a small chandelier or pendant light overhead, and you’ve got a spa-worthy retreat.
Baths aren’t just for pampering, either. After a tough workout or a long commute, they become essential for recovery and relaxation. We’ve even installed tubs with hydrotherapy jets and heated backrests for clients who want to take their self-care to the next level.
Smart Technology in Your Norwich Master Bathroom Remodel is Here
Music, Heat, and News, Oh My!
Smart tech isn’t just for the kitchen anymore. Our Norwich master bathroom remodels are embracing innovation in ways that truly surprise and delight.
Imagine this: You walk into your bathroom and your mirror displays your calendar, weather, and news headlines. With built-in LED lighting and anti-fog features, these mirrors aren’t just pretty, they’re efficient and functional.
Your heated floors? You can control them from your smartphone, adjusting the temperature before you even leave your bed. And then there are the SLT smart showers. With programmable presets, each member of the household can enjoy their preferred water temperature, spray strength, and even music, streamed directly through built-in waterproof speakers. Yes, your bathroom just became your new favorite concert hall.
Bringing the Outdoors In: A Refreshing, Organic Vibe
One trend that continues to grow is the inclusion of natural elements. Homeowners want to feel relaxed, grounded, and connected to nature—and the bathroom is the perfect place to make that happen.
Large windows or skylights flood the space with light, while real plants like ferns, orchids, or even hanging ivy soften the hard edges of tile and stone. And let’s not forget about water features. A trickling wall fountain or bubbling countertop piece can add both sound and serenity.
Even better, plants naturally purify the air. So, while you enjoy the look and feel of a greener space, you’re also creating a healthier home.
Making Walls Wow In Your Norwich Master Bathroom Remodel
Bold Patterns and Textures: Making Walls Wow
Wallpaper has made a huge comeback—especially in the bathroom. Homeowners are embracing bold prints, botanical patterns, and textured designs to make a statement. From one feature wall behind the tub to full-room wraparounds, the effect is dramatic and unforgettable.
Paint is also taking a bold turn. Deep teal, charcoal, and even muted mustard are making appearances, offering a sophisticated alternative to stark whites. These color choices work especially well with brass fixtures or black matte hardware, creating that high-end designer look our clients crave.
